Questions & answers
Repair questions, answered clearly.
Everything customers usually ask before bringing a device in: what it costs, how long it takes, what happens to your data, and what our warranty covers.
How much does a repair cost?
Price depends on the device and the fault. Diagnosis is always free and you get a firm quote before we start. If you decide not to go ahead, you pay nothing.
How long does a repair take?
Most screens, batteries and charging ports are same-day. Board-level work, liquid damage and data recovery take longer, and we give you a timeline when we quote.
Do I need an appointment?
No. Walk-ins are welcome every day. Booking online just lets us have the right part ready before you arrive.
Will I lose my data during a repair?
We do not erase your device as part of a repair. We still recommend backing up first, because any device with an existing fault can behave unpredictably.
Do you use genuine parts?
We use quality parts matched to the repair and the budget, and we tell you exactly which grade of part your quote covers before you approve it.
Is there a warranty on repairs?
Yes, every completed repair carries a workmanship and parts warranty. Full terms are on our warranty page.
What if you cannot fix my device?
On most repairs it is no fix, no fee. If the device is beyond economical repair we tell you honestly rather than charging you for a repair that will not last.
Do you repair water-damaged devices?
Yes. Bring it in powered off and as soon as possible. We clean corrosion from the board and repair damaged circuitry, and outcomes are much better the sooner we see it.
Can you recover data from a dead phone or laptop?
Often, yes. Even devices that will not boot can have their storage read. See our data recovery page for details.
Do you repair game consoles?
We repair PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch, including HDMI port replacement, overheating, disc drives and controller drift.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash and major cards in store. Payment is taken when you collect the finished repair.
Where are you located and when are you open?
Karmel Mall, Unit 112, 200 W Lake St, Minneapolis, MN 55408, open daily 11:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
